Production Floral Designer

Job Duties

  • Provide a memorable shopping experience by attending to customer needs instore, online, over the phone, and by email in a professional and respectful manner while guiding them to find the right selection for their special occasion.
  • Build and maintain a consistent inventory of floral arrangements for sale both instore and online, creating and adhering to a unique specification for each arrangement.
  • Replicate floral designs from photos, samples or verbal instructions as directed.
  • Liaise with suppliers to procure, receive and process all products in order to maintain a consistent inventory.
  • Conduct retail duties such as opening/closing of store, cash control, general housekeeping, organizing cooler, merchandise displays, etc.
  • Use computer programs accurately to estimate costs, maintain customer files, manage inventory, etc.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma / GED Equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in floral design and customer service

Working Conditions

  • Must possess the ability to work weekends, all floral holidays and occasional overtime as directed by business needs
  • Indoor, controlled temperature environment
  • Variety of scents and odours, some heavy at times

Physical & Mental Requirements

  • Extended periods of standing
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Fine motor skills
  • Interaction with the public at large
